SDF: 9 of our fighters killed in crash of two helicopters

 This came in a written statement by the Syrian Democratic Forces, which was published today on its official media page.

 The text of the statement read: “To the media and public opinion.

 During the movement of the unit on their way to the city of Sulaymaniyah on the evening of March 15, 2023, two helicopters that were carrying them fell due to bad weather conditions, and this led to the death of nine of our fighters, led by Shervan Kobani, due to the crashes of two helicopters.

 The Anti-Terrorism Forces sacrificed their best fighters and leaders in the war against terrorism, and fought fierce wars from Kobani to Raqqa and Deir Ezzor.

 These forces are trained in advanced fighting methods, and they are a key partner of the international coalition in the war against ISIS. They are actively working to develop their combat and technical capabilities and strengthen the mechanisms of joint action in the region to fight ISIS in the region.

 At a time when we condolence ourselves, the families of our martyrs, and our people;  We affirm that their sacrifices will remain a beacon for continuing the resistance and protecting our people and their sacred land.

 At the same time, we call on the concerned authorities in the southern Kurdistan region to cooperate in receiving the bodies of the martyrs and transporting them to the regions of northern and eastern Syria and dealing with them according to customs and traditions.
