Turkey's Supreme Election Commission announces March 18 as the date for the start of electoral period

Turkey's Supreme Elections Committee announced March 18, the date for the official start of the electoral period, and revealed that the voter lists will be ready on March 22.

Through him, he indicated that the presidential and parliamentary elections, scheduled for May 14, will begin their process on March 18, and continued: "Work continues to clarify the principles for the method of electing candidates in the country and abroad."

Yesterday, the decision of the Supreme Elections Committee regarding the political parties eligible to participate in the elections was published in yesterday's issue of the Official Gazette in Turkey, and accordingly 36 parties expressed their agreement to participate in the elections.

Among the parties included in the list are the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), the Turkish Communist and Justice and Development Party (AKP), the Nationalist Movement (MHP), the Great Unity Movement (BBP), the Republican People’s Party (CHP), Saadet Partisi, and Democracy and Progress (DEVA), The Future, The Good Party (II), The Homeland, The New Welfare, The Democratic Party, The Democratic Left.
