A delegation from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, consisting of the co-chair of the Department of Foreign Relations, Badran Jia Kurd, and the representative of the administration in Europe, Abd al-Karim Omar, met on Friday, March 10, with the Austrian member of parliament, Harald Trukh, and the local parliament member, Jabr Hajo, the representatives On behalf of the Social Democratic Party in the Austrian Parliament, in the Austrian Parliament building in the capital, Vienna.

According to the official websites of the Autonomous Administration, during the meeting, the two Austrian parliamentarians were briefed on the general situation in Syria and NE Syria, especially the political, economic and humanitarian challenges facing the Autonomous Administration, and the ISIS file in detention centers and camps.

In addition to the continuous threats and attacks of the Turkish occupation state on NE Syria, and the need for Austria and the international powers to assume their responsibilities towards all these files, in terms of providing support for the Autonomous Administration politically and economically to establish stability in the region, along with resolving the Syrian crisis in accordance with International Resolution (2254), and to reform the High Negotiations Committee and the Constitutional Committee in order to represent all the Syrian people with its various components.

In turn, the two Austrian parliamentarians affirmed their appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Kurdish people and the components of NE Syria in the face of terrorism, and their follow-up on the situation closely, and they look forward to cooperation and developing relations with the Autonomous Administration regarding many issues of common concern."
