AANES hands over 2 women, 3 children from ISIS families to Sudan

On Thursday, March 9, 2023, a Sudanese delegation headed by Chargé d’Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy in Damascus, “Tariq Abdullah Ali Muhammad,” a diplomatic advisor at the embassy, “Jalal al-Din Muhammad Abdullah Baaqoub,” and an employee at the embassy, “Dia al-Din Rushdi Muhammad Hassan,” visited the headquarters of the Department External relations in Qamishlo, according to the official website of the department.

The delegation was received by Deputy Co-Chairs Rubel Baho and Fanar Al-Kait, members of the Administrative Board Khaled Ibrahim and Golestan Ali, and member of the YPJ Bureau Lana Hussein.

During the meeting, the political, economic, security and humanitarian situation after the devastating earthquake was discussed, in addition to the continuous Turkish threats through the bombing with drones and artillery.

Rubel said that Sudan is one of the first Arab countries to restore its citizens who are in the areas of the Autonomous Administration, and this is a matter of great welcome and appreciation for the Autonomous Administration, and he wished the Arab countries and the Gulf countries to cooperate with the Autonomous Administration in order to return their citizens.

He added that the Autonomous Administration will continue to cooperate with the Republic of Sudan, and with all countries that have citizens and children in the Autonomous Administration areas.

In turn, Tariq Abdullah Muhammad expressed his happiness for being in the city of Qamishlo to carry out a humanitarian mission to restore the Sudanese.

He also thanked the Autonomous Administration, which contributed to the success of this operation, and added that we are looking forward to further cooperation and communication with the Autonomous Administration to restore all Sudanese nationals.

At the end of the meeting, two women and three children from ISIS families were handed over, according to an official handover document between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Republic of Sudan.
