DAA in Jazira decries the attacks on Genocide Memorial of “Sayfo Martyrs”

The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration DAA of the Jazira region, Talaat Younes, condemned the acts of vandalism against the Genocide Memorial of the Sayfo Martyrs, which is located in the city of Qamishlo, and considered it an attack targeting "security, stability and co-existence among the components of the region."

On Sunday, the official website of the Executive Council in Jazira region published a meeting with the co-chair of the Executive Council in Jazira region, Talaat Younes, regarding the breaking and vandalism of unknown persons to the Genocide Memorial of the Sayfo Martyrs, which is located in al-Quwatli Street in the city of Qamishlo.

At the outset of the meeting, Talaat Younes condemned the acts of vandalism against the memorial and considered it an attack targeting "security, stability and co-existence among the components of the region."

Younues stressed that these attacks "will not discourage them from proceeding and continuing to protect their gains and their project in DAA."

And he indicated, "All the competent authorities will be directed immediately to start investigations to reach these vandals and hand them over to the judiciary to be held accountable."
