Council of Raqqa Martyrs' Families recalls martyrs in revolution of NES

The Martyrs' Families Council in the city of Raqqa recalled, during a ceremony, the martyrs of January and February, who were martyred at different times, during the campaigns to liberate the regions of northern and eastern Syria from ISIS mercenaries.

Dozens of martyrs' families and members of civil and military institutions flocked to the shrine of the martyrs in the village of Al-Hukoumiya in the city of Raqqa, to commemorate 80 martyrs from the fighters of the People's and Women's Protection Units, the Self-Defense Forces, the Internal Security Forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces who were martyred during (January and February)

The commemoration ceremony began with a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs, followed by a military parade by the fighters of the Raqqa Military Council, then a member of the Martyrs’ Families Council in the Raqqa Military Council, Karwan Bakour, delivered a speech in which he said: “The martyrs are the ones who secured security and stability in this country, and we are on their path.” Mercy for our martyrs, a speedy recovery for our wounded, and a sure victory for us.

The co-chair of the Council of Martyrs' Families, Ahmed Al-Hamoud, also delivered a speech in which he said: "Our country is still bleeding, and northern and eastern Syria is still suffering day after day. The only constant is that every day there are processions of martyrs."

Ahmed Al-Hamoud added, "We gather today in this holy place, which embraces our free martyrs, and we especially mention the martyrs of the first and second months of this year, who were betrayed by the hand of treachery from ISIS and the Turkish criminal state. We promise our martyrs and ourselves that we will complete this struggle, freedom and achievement of Justice".

Ahmed Al-Hamoud concluded his speech by saying: "We promise our martyrs that we will not allow anyone to tamper with the safety of our people in all regions of north and east Syria. We in the Council of Martyrs' Families promise you to preserve your families after you. May you always be proud of us, and with your ideals peoples and nations have been liberated."

The remembrance ceremony ended with the end of the military parade, and then the families of the martyrs and their children lit candles on the graves of the martyrs in the shrine of the martyrs in the village of Al-Hukoumiya, north of the city of Raqqa.
