Turkish occupation state threatens mediators of relief aid to impacted areas

The Turkish state, its mercenary, and the Damascus government are still preventing the entry of aid provided by the Autonomous Administration for the fifth day in a row.

The Autonomous Administration in NE Syria launched a campaign to help the afflicted and affected by the earthquake in Shahba, the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo, in addition to the areas under the control of Damascus and the areas occupied by Turkey, two days after the devastating earthquake that struck northern Kurdistan, Turkey and the regions of northwestern Syria.

On the 10th of February, the Autonomous Administration sent 50 tanks of fuel oil to the Shahba and Aleppo regions, but the Damascus government forces stopped these tanks at the al-Tayha crossing between Manbij and the areas controlled by the Damascus government and did not allow them to cross.

Despite this, the Autonomous Administration sent another 50 tanks of fuel were stopped at the same crossing, and there are now 100 tanks of fuel at the Al-Tayha crossing, wait permission.

Humanitarian aid convoy stuck at Um Jalud crossing

On the 8th of this February, the Autonomous Administration sent; 30 tanks of fuel and 20 trucks of humanitarian aid but they were stopped at the Um Juloud crossing between Manbij and Jarabulus, as the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries do not allow them to cross.

With the number of earthquake victims reaching 5,500 people in Syria, the Turkish state and mercenary groups still refuse the aid provided by the Autonomous Administration.

On Sunday, representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria met with an intermediary delegation coming from the areas occupied by Turkey in order to bring the aid provided by the Autonomous Administration to the occupied areas, and the representatives of the Autonomous Administration tried to convince the delegation of the need to bring aid to the stricken areas in occupied northwestern Syria, but after the delegation returned to the town of Al-Rai; The delegation announced its refusal to bring aid into the north and west of Syria.

The co-chair of the Media Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Jiwan Malla Ibrahim, said that some of the mediating delegations that tried to bring aid into the occupied areas were threatened by the Turkish occupation state.
