As a precautionary step to protect the people from the effects of the earthquake that hit many areas in Syria, where 6 people lost their lives in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, thousands of people resorted to shelters and tents erected by the General Council in the public squares.

In order to provide assistance to the people, the Kurdish Red Crescent was able to send a truck of aid to the affected people.

On Wednesday morning, the truck arrived in the two neighborhoods, carrying blankets and tents to be set up in empty yards far from tall buildings to house the people, and to avoid further human losses.

The General Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods had designated centers to house thousands of residents of the eastern section of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, which includes the most damaged houses and buildings that are threatened with collapse.

According to the General Council, in coordination with the Kurdish Red Crescent, these tents will be erected during the next few hours to house the people.
