​​​​​​​Sibling of martyr Sakîne Cansiz: Killers are different, but the goal is the same

Ten years ago, on January 9, 2013, the leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), member of the Kurdistan National Congress, Sakîne Cansiz, (Sara), Fîdan Dogan (Rojbin), and member of the Kurdish Youth Movement, Leyla Şaylemez were assassinated in the information Kurdistan office in the French capital, Paris.

Irrefutable evidence was referring that “MIT” those who carried out this heinous crime, but it was decided to stay the file confidential, the murderer Omar Konay who was member of MIT, after he was carried out his heinous crime, they claimed that he was killed in mysterious circumstances in order to misguide the public opinion.

In this context, the brother of the martyr Sakîne Cansiz, Metin Cansiz, spoke to ANHA’s agency on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the first Paris massacre and said: "France must get rid of this filth."

"The massacre is similar to the massacre that took place 10 years ago."

Metin Cansiz indicated that while preparations were being made for the commemoration of the three revolutionaries, a new massacre took place in which those responsible for organizing this commemoration were targeted.

He said,” We are extremely disappointed, this massacre is similar to the massacre that took place 10 years ago. Again, the Kurds are deliberately targeted, especially the Kurdish women.  Kurds are flocking to Paris from different European regions to express their resentment of this crime, they have repeated the pain they caused us 10 years ago once again."

Metin Cansiz indicated that instead of revealing the truth about the first massacre, the French government adopted a tactic of confusion and distraction, and the French Ministry of Defense objected to lifting the confidentiality decision on the file.

He stated that they did not want the case to be resolved. They misguide the public opinion to trick them, and to be forgotten this case, unfortunately, the corrupt stakeholders do not allow the case to progress, and the file secrecy has not been lifted for 10 years now. It is strange that when we submitted a request to lift this secrecy, the French Ministry of Defense was the first to oppose it. This indicates the extent of the clarity of the international relationship of this massacre. They do not wish to dissolve it, but we have not given up the search for justice. The matter is exactly as it is happening now in the second massacre, as they put the killer's identity and his profile in front of us and make the discussion revolve around him. We do not care about the identity of the killer, the goal is the same, but they do not want to solve it. Because it is not in their favor."

Metin Cansiz indicated that the French government is obligated to protect the people in its country, and continued his speech, saying: "They do not protect them, and we believe that they are involved in this and turn a blind eye to it. France is obliged to get rid of this filth. The Kurds took the necessary reactions, and there was a reaction "There is a lot of French public opinion, and we believe that this pressure may force them to take some measures.”
