Among the methods of confronting the siege imposed on the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh by the "Fourth Division", which led to an increase in the prices of heating materials and their loss; Residents resorted to burning wood furniture in their homes to keep warm of their children.

Where the parents are afraid of repeating the tragedy of the death of the two children, Wissam Sido (4 years old) and Hussein Kibar (17 days old) as a result of the cold, so they had to sacrifice the furniture of their homes. To warm their children in light of the temperatures dropping to below zero on some days.

According to the pictures monitored by ANHA’s agency's correspondent, wooden tables and cabinets are among the most common pieces of furniture that people resort to breaking and burning for the purpose of heating.

It is noteworthy that the "Fourth Division" prevented in previous times the entry of firewood and timber into the two neighborhoods as part of the imposed siege policy, which led to the price of a ton of firewood reaching two and a half million Syrian pounds (S.Y) The price of a barrel of diesel has also reached more than two million.
