"Saeqa Al-Jazeera" continues combing countryside of Al-Hol, arrests mercenaries

 Today, the media center of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement about the progress of the "The Thunderbolt of Jazira" operation, in which it stated:

 "The joint forces in Operation The Thunderbolt of Jazira intensified the pursuit and combing of ISIS terrorist cells and destroyed its organizational structures and sleeper cells, for the eighth day of the operation.

 After Tell Hamis, Tell Brak and Al-Hol, the forces combed today, Thursday morning, the villages of the northeastern countryside of Al-Hol and the eastern countryside of the city of Hasakah in the vicinity of Jabal Kawkab, which witnessed during the last period movements of terrorist cells as well as criminal elements that committed violations against the people.

 The Internal Security Forces participating in the operation also raided hideouts of the terrorist organization in Al-Hol camp, after confirming the information, as the forces arrested eight mercenaries working for the organization's cells within the camp.

The joint forces carried out a combing campaign for 23 villages and farms in the eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah, where they raided hideouts that were used by criminal gangs that tried during the last period to disturb security and threaten the people, and arrested two of them who were proven involved in criminal operations.

 During the search, the forces also seized unauthorized weapons and military clothing, as well as many forged identification papers that terrorist cells used to impersonate themselves to hide from the eyes of the security forces.

 Our forces, which have proven their readiness to deal with security conditions, have aborted many potential terrorist operations, and will continue their operations resolutely to protect the people of northern and eastern Syria and ensure security and stability by facing all challenges."
