Armed attack on Kurdish Association in Paris: two people lose their lives

 The Kurdish Cultural Association in the Saint-Denis neighborhood in the French capital, Paris, was subjected to an armed attack.

 According to witnesses, a person came in a car to the street and started shooting at it.

 The attacker also fired live bullets at a Kurdish restaurant and a barbershop on the same street.

 According to French media, quoting police sources, this attack resulted in the loss of two lives and the injury of 4 others.

 No further details have been released about this attack.  The police cordoned off the association and did not allow anyone to approach.  No information is received from within the center either.

 A witness told Haber TV: "A person approached the association and fired live bullets at the people standing in front of it." The same person stated that 3 of the wounded were in critical condition.

 According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), sources within the police announced the arrest of the attacker, who is about 60 years old.  Another witness revealed that the association was shot seven or eight times.

 It is worth noting that the attack took place before the tenth anniversary of the assassination of the three Kurdish women revolutionaries (Sakina Cansiz, Fidan Dogan, Leyla Shailmes) on January 9, 2013.

 And the mayor of Paris and the first aide announced via Twitter the establishment of a department for medical and psychological emergencies in the tenth municipality building in the capital.

 "An investigation has been opened regarding crimes of extreme violence and premeditated murder," the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office said in a statement to BFMTV.  The Public Prosecution revealed that a 69-year-old person was arrested.
