​​​​​​​Mustafa Amin: Turkey contributes in establishing foothold to ISIS in region

Turkish attacks on North and East Syria coincided with heavy movements of ISIS mercenaries in the region, as well as information about the preparation of ISIS mercenaries to launch an attack on the Alaya prison (containing ISIS mercenaries) in the city of Qamishlo.

In this context, Mustafa Amin, a researcher on jihadist Islamic groups, said that Turkey was largely involved in ISIS insurgency, and continued: "It has a clear history with ISIS and in overlooking its actions in the north of Syria and even in the Turkish interior, and Turkey knows well that strengthening the security forces of the SDF; Will contribute to weakening ever escalating of ISIS and other jihadist groups; Turkey is therefore working on this systematically.”

Amin noted that "Turkey is one of the States that is trying to use all its tools for their pragmatic interests of the Turkish regime and not for the benefit of the Turkish state; This role is very clear; as it intervened in the Syrian crisis, supported armed groups in the north and inside Syria, overlooked the growth and expansion of ISIS and the entry of its elements into the Syrian interior through Turkey ".

He explained that the intellectual foundation of the Turkish regime is based on the Sunni-Shia conflict, which serves its agendas in controlling Sunni-oriented Islamic groups, and said: "Turkey has a certain vision and direction in this matter and uses Kurds as a tool or group to implement its agendas in the region and in northern Iraq as well as in the Turkish interior. It has established a state of hostility with Kurds. The Turkish regime has always promoted that Kurds are an enemy of the Turkish people and must be resisted."

Amin noted that "Turkey's orientation is clear and harmful to the Syrian people and Syria and to the North and East of Syria."
