​​​​​​​Activists women protest in Beirut to decry Turkish occupation crimes

The event, organized by Kongra Star in Lebanon, with the participation of the Jin Association, Newroz Cultural and Social Association, the Democratic Union Party Council in Lebanon, organizations from the Lebanese civil society, women's organizations, activists and human rights activists, and was attended by dozens of members of the Kurdish community.

Then, member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) party, Mustafa Abdeen, read a statement, on behalf of the council and the Kurdish community in Lebanon, in which they denounced the attacks of the occupation, and demanded the intervention of United Nations human rights organizations and their humanitarian duty towards Turkey's crimes.

This was followed by reading a joint statement by Kongra Star, the Jin Association and the Newroz Social Cultural Association, which was read by the member of the Kongra Star, Lava Bakr, in which the talk about the remarkable increase in acts of violence against women said: “A while ago, the struggler woman and academic Nakhan Akarsal was assassinated and the young Kurdish woman, Gina Amini, was assassinated.”

Then it was followed by a reading of the statement of the Nada Alliance, which was read by the member of the coalition, Nour Ahmad, in which she stated: “The occasion of combating violence against women is upon us, and we are still witnessing a remarkable and unprecedented escalation of violence against women in all parts of the world.”

For her part, researcher and political academic, Dr. Mona Fayyad, delivered a speech in which she denounced the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its targeting of citizens in Rojava, and praised the women's revolution and its role in empowering women in all fields.

While the professor, peace ambassador and member of the Palestinian Women's Charitable Society, continued in her speech, condemning the Turkish crimes and calling for an uprising against them.

To continue the event, read the statement of the initiative "Conflicting the Occupation and the Genocide of Women" by the initiative's member, Iman Fateh, who called for confronting the occupation and standing up to the violence practiced against women.
