​​​​​​​  Darwish reveals latest changes in areas of contact with Manbij

 Local sources from the city of Jarabulus, occupied by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries, confirmed to our agency a few days ago that the mercenaries of "Ahrar al-Sham" affiliated with the mercenaries of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" were stationed instead of the mercenaries of the "Syrian Front", in 6 villages in the northern and western countryside of the occupied city of Manbij. They control that front opposite the Manbij Military Council forces, preparing to spread to the rest of the front's other points.

 These changes were considered Darwish to introduce "Jabhat al-Nusra" to these areas, and therefore this latest deployment falls within those efforts."

 Darwish confirmed the spread of "Ahrar al-Sham" mercenaries in the northwest and western countryside of Manbij, and said: "They are the factions that pledged allegiance to Jabhat al-Nusra or work with it directly, including Ahrar al-Sham."

 Regarding the new variables, he said: "The points, starting from the village of Umm Jaloud and its surroundings, all the way to the villages of Muhsinli and Arab Hassan, were controlled by the Al-Jabha Al-Shamja, but Ahrar al-Sham came and took control of it without any fighting."

Darwish continued, "Currently, several factions are deployed on the front line. On the northern front, there are some points of the Al-Jabha Al-Shamia and Ahrar al-Sham, in addition to the security apparatus of Tahrir al-Sham and al-Nusra. They are stationed in the area adjacent to our points."

 He added: "On the western front, there is the Samarkand Brigade and the factions affiliated with Hamzat and various factions, but they directly those fronts are controlled by Ahrar al-Sham, and in those areas there are elements of Jabhat al-Nusra."

 Regarding the purpose of this deployment, Darwish said: “It is a new Turkish project in the region to open the way for Al-Nusra.   The factions are with al-Nusra in any battles, but quite the opposite they have sided with al-Nusra.”

 He believed that these events and understandings took place after the Turkish-Russian understandings, which is an attempt to silence some voices that cannot be controlled so that they can pave the way for any attempt or reconciliation with the Damascus government, and find agreements with it.

 Darwish explained that: "Jabhat al-Nusra now operates under the names of the Turkish-backed factions, primarily Ahrar al-Sham and other Turkmen factions, which received direct instructions from the Turkish state to deal with Jabhat al-Nusra in the region."

 He added, "International and American positions in particular, and the popular rejection, obstructed the projects of the Turkish state through Jabhat al-Nusra, so Turkey began to work through HTS under the name Ahrar al-Sham, so we can say that the most influential faction now in the region is Ahrar al-Sham."

 Sharfan Darwish explained the position of the Manbij Military Council forces on the changes in the fronts opposite their forces, saying, "We are closely monitoring, for us, these factions that follow the Turkish occupation are all terrorists and their hands are stained with blood, and nothing will be different. We are taking our measures towards these factions or any other faction."  It is linked to foreign agendas, and over the past years we have built a strong defense system that will be steadfast and protect our people in the city of Manbij, regardless of the opposite side, whether the Turkish army or its affiliated factions.”

 He concluded by saying, "Our people must know that the Turkish state seeks to undermine the stability of the region through its mercenaries, and it is now directing its compass for reconciliation with the regime."
