Representative of AANES in Europe meets members of the Spanish Senate

Yesterday, Tuesday, the representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in Europe, Abd al-Karim Omar, met with 8 members of the Spanish Senate, representatives of 7 Spanish parties, at the Senate building in the capital, Madrid, they are: Lurka Urib Etxebarria, Nerea Ahedo, Laura Castel, Assumpció Castellví, Carles Mulet, Vicenç Vidal, Koldo Martinez, Adelina Escandell.

During the meeting, they discussed latest developments in Syria, the situation in north and east Syria and the experience of Autonomous Administration that was formed from the various components of the region, as a democratic project that can be as a model for resolving the Syrian crisis and building a new, democratic, pluralistic, decentralized Syria, and the role of women in the Autonomous Administration.

In a statement to ANHA agency, Abd al-Karim Omar explained that he mentioned the role played by the Kurds and the various components of NE Syria in confronting ISIS on behalf of the whole world

Omar briefed the Spanish senators on the violations and crimes practiced by the Turkish occupying state in the occupied territories and its racist projects represented in the demographic change of the region in the name of solving the refugee problem

For their part, members of the Spanish Senate expressed their support for a solution to the Syrian crisis in accordance with the international resolutions, and the need for the participation of the various components of the Syrian people in the political solution

The members of the Spanish Parliament also thanked the Kurdish people for the sacrifices they made in confronting ISIS on behalf of all humanity, and stressed the need for international forces to do their responsibilities.
