Intellectuals call on southern Kurdistan people to confront the betrayal of KDP

The intellectuals of Jazera region pointed out that Kurdistan Democratic Party is trying through its participation with the Turkish occupation state in massacres and violations and targeting intellectuals and patriots to cover up its dirty history.

Kurdistan Democratic Party continues to participate in Turkish occupation state by targeting prominent figures who have a great role in managing society and preserving the history, and the history and culture of Kurdish people, especially the leading intellectuals, patriots, and leaders.

Since September 2021, the intelligence of Turkish occupation state in the city of Sulaymaniya in Başûr has targeted 5 militants and patriots, the latest of which is the activist Nakhan Akarsal, who was subjected to an armed attack in front of her home on October 4.

Not to mention targeting citizens, figures, leaders of July 19 revolution and leaders who defeated ISIS, the latest of which was a member of Internal Security Forces - Sotoro, Ibrahim Mikhail, who was martyred after an air attack by Turkish occupation army near Newroz camp, northeast of Derik district, on October 12.

Abd al-Rahman Muhammed, a member of the Union of intellectuals in Jazera region, said: "the biggest blow to the Kurdish people, during the targeting of prominent and patriotic figures, was in the person of leader Abdullah Ocalan, in an attempt to obliterate the intellectual freedom of the Kurdish people.

Muhammed pointed out that the targeting of Nakhan Akarsal is a continuation of the plans of the Turkish occupation and Kurdistan Democratic Party in the extermination of the Kurdish people, "targeting Nakhan is a continuation of the dirty plans and policies pursued by the Turkish occupation with the help of Kurdistan Democratic Party. KDP should know that targeting these figures is like targeting the entire Kurdish people," he said.

At the end of his speech, Abd al-Rahman Muhammed called on the people in Başûr to demonstrate and stand in the face of the policy of Barzani family members, which "will lead the Kurds and Kurdistan to destruction".

Hasina Ahmad, a member of the Union of Intellectuals in the Jazera region, pointed out that Turkish occupation state "does not target intellectuals and patriots only, but aims to exterminate the Kurdish people, especially in Başûr, through the silence of KDP about its crimes and violations, and not only that, but also provides the necessary services to exterminate its people for their personal interests."
