In this context, Jean Murad, member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Switzerland, clarified that Syria's sovereignty for decades can be summed up in a sentence that does not seem to be implemented on the ground, which is "reserving the right to respond in the appropriate time and place."

Murad indicated that the Damascus Government, after it hid behind this gate for decades, sought to breathe a sigh of relief. Because of the extreme embarrassment caused by the inability to deter, and the public anger engulfed by the miserable situation and the accompanying ridicule, saying: “The concerned authorities began to declare outside the usual text, with another statement, which stated that the air defenses were confronting hostile targets in the sky of Syria, but soon found themselves in a severe predicament after the Syrian sky became open to swarms of warplanes of every gender and identity, with almost daily raids in a state that resembles a failed and without sovereignty.

He added: "In fact, its silence towards the repeated Turkish aggression does not lie in any secret, or any policy, nor in any case the supreme national interest," stressing that it is like surrendering to those rules that he called "the rules of engagement drawn by the power of iron and fire, such as the case imposed by Israel." Or the ones that were drawn up in Adana to Hmeimim in shameful and ominous tacit agreements targeting the Kurdish presence on both sides of the border.”

The attacks of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on North and East Syria increased, whether through air or ground bombing, after the meeting that brought together the trio of deals, "Russia, Turkey, and Iran" in Tehran on July 19.

Jean Murad pointed out that "in every military, political or economic turn, the Northern and Western Kurdish borders were the main factor that determined the mutual relations between Syria and Turkey, and that the consolidation of self-rule in Southern Kurdistan and the Democratic Autonomous Administration DAA in its west and Northeastern Syria, made from the enemies of time, logical allies every time.

He considered that the silence of the Damascus Government towards Turkey's terrorism against the people of North and East Syria, does not call for surprise, because it is accompanied by regional and international silence with every aggression, and said: "The Syrian army has proven time and time again that it is not qualified to defend Syria's sovereignty and its territorial integrity, and is incapable of protecting the goals and interests of the Syrian people, contrary to what is defined in Article Eleven of the Syrian Constitution.

Jean Murad considered that the policy of the Damascus Government in concealing human and material losses as a result of foreign attacks, particularly Israeli, is a natural and familiar thing, believing that what encouraged it to follow the same policy with the Turkish attacks, is Recep Tayyip Erdogan's talk about "restoring the relationship with the Syrian regime."

Jean Murad pointed to some situations in which the Damascus Government failed to fulfill its responsibilities towards the sovereignty of the Syrian territories. "In 2018, and during the Turkish aggression on the city of Afrin, the People's Protection Units and Women's Protection Units (YPG-YPJ) called on Damascus publicly to defend the Syrian territories, and to deter Turkey, but to no avail, in addition to the appeals of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in a similar call to the Syrian army to intervene against Turkey’s terrorism against the people of the cities of Ras al-Ain / Serêkaniyê and Gire Spi / Tel Abyad in 2019, but it did not lift a finger.

He noted that "the Damascus Government will remain silent, whether on the Turkish or Israeli fronts, as long as the strikes do not aim to topple it, and that the Turkish attacks and aggressions will not stop at this point, and will go beyond them to occupy more Syrian lands as long as Turkey presents itself as a rifle in the face of the Kurdish forces." He said, "What unites the Syrian and Turkish regimes is much more than what separates them."

Member of the Democratic Union Party, Jean Murad, relied on the Syrian Democratic Forces and the people of the region to thwart the conspiracy targeting the Kurdish presence and other peoples.
