Elham Ahmed: We have a great opportunity as Syrians to open a new stage

Elham Ahmed explained, "Foreign interventions on Syria have become a challenge to the political solution in Syria, therefore several meetings were held. So far we have understood that there is a large percentage of Syrians who agree on the political solution in Syria, but these voices are silent and we must gather these voices to end the state of authoritarian hegemony in Syria.”

Ahmed explained, "The political process in Syria was ended as constitutional committee stopped its work after the Ukrainian war and the meetings in Tehran between Putin and Erdogan, so the issue of the political process is considered finished, and we do not hope that there will be developments or the beginning of a new stage."

Ahmed noted, "The Madrid meeting was an important meeting during which NATO wanted to increase its members and impose its policy on the world, but Turkey had another vision where its only concern was NE Syria."

Ahmed explained, "What Turkey has done by supporting terrorist factions makes us not think of any rapprochement and reconciliation with Turkey. There are challenges to this rapprochement, including the conditions of the regime.

For Turkey, it does not care about the Syrian people, but rather exploited the refugee file and received huge sums under the pretext of receiving Syrian refugees."

At the conclusion of her speech, Ilham Ahmed confirmed, "This session is a basic opportunity with one voice, we say, no more war, no division, and the crisis is an international crisis, therefore we must think rationally and strengthen the bonds of communication."
