​​​​​​​In numbers... outcome of 3 days of barbaric Turkish shelling on Zerghan and Tal Tamr

Zerghan and Tal Tamr districts are being ceaselessly shelled by Turkish occupation and its pro- gangs Free Army since last Sunday, that is considered the most violent, this heavy shelling caused massive destruction to civilians’ properties.

In a careful follow-up to ANHA’s correspondents in the frontlines’ areas, ANHA agency documented by numbers through correspondents and field commanders an accurate outcome of what happened in the “Tal Tamer and Zerghan” areas during the 72 hours that began on the 23rd of this July, and continued on the 25th and 26th of this month, the shells caused unthinkable devastation to civilians’ properties.

On July 23^rd, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries bombed the villages of Tal Tamr district, targeting three villages in the western and northern side of Tal Tamr district, which are the villages of "Umm al-Keif, al-Abosh, and al-Dardara", with 119 artillery, tank and mortar shells.

During the bombing of Umm al-Keif village, the bombing targeted the 66 kV and 20 kV lines feeding the power station in Tal Tamr district, which led to it being out of service, in addition to causing great damage to civilians’ properties, in addition to wounding 3 fighters from the Assyrian Khabur Guards.

On July 24^th, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries resumed their bombardment of the area, reaching both sides of "Tel-Tamr and Zerghan" at the same time.

According to ANHA’s correspondent, the villages that were targeted in the Tel Tamer district are "the Assyrian Tel Shanan, and the strategic al-Mujaybara located on the M4 international road, the road between Tal Tamr district and the city of Qamishlo in the northeastern side of the district."

As well as the villages of "al-Dardara, al-Abosh, al-Sheikh Ali, the graves of al-Qarajneh, and the vicinity of the Russian base on the northern side of the district of Tal Tamr on the road that connects the district to the district of Zerghan, the village of Umm al-Keif, Tal Jum`ah and the farm located between the district of Tal Tamr and the Assyrian village of Tal Juma`a, in addition to the Assyrian village of Tal Kaifji and grain silos in the village of Umm al-Keif, the Assyrian hill Tawil, al-Taweelah, Sukkar al-Ahimer, al-Dishishah, al-Aghibish, and Qasr Tuma Yalda, on the western side of the Tel Tamr district.

As for the Zerghan district, the ground bombardment targeted "the center of Zerghan district, the village of Dada Abdel, Mazri, Tal Harmal, al-Asadiya, and Tal Amir."

ANHA’s correspondents also documented the targeting of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on July 24^th, the villages of Tal Tamr and Zerghan district with 173 rockets, including heavy artillery, mortar shells and a tank, in addition to their use of rocket launchers. It caused the destruction of dozens of civilian homes and caused great damage to citizens' properties and livestock, in addition to destroying a car in Zerghan district.

The shelling on Tal Tamr district led to the martyrdom of the citizen Hussein Ibrahim Abboush, and the injury of 5 other citizens, including two women, they are "Fayez Mahmoud al-Khader, Farhan Alo Khalo, Wadah Bo Amro, and Rajha Yassin Miniti," while our reporter was unable to identify the fifth injured; because he left the hospital after first aid.

In the same context, in the Zerghan district, four citizens, including a father and two children, were injured, they are "Mu'ayyad Abdullah, Mohammad Mu'ayyad Abdullah, and Taysir Mu'ayyad Abdullah", from the village of Mazri, in addition to "Mohammad Qasim" at the entrance to Zerghan district from the southern side. Also, a soldier of the Damascus government forces lost his life in the village of al-Asadiya, northwest of the district.

On July 25^th, and since the early hours of the morning, the Turkish occupation army re-targeted the villages of Tal Tamr and Zerghan district, as it targeted with 166 rocket shells the villages of “al-Taweelah, the Assyrian Tal Tawil, west of Tal Tamr district,” and each of the villages of “al-Asadiya, al-Kawziyah, al-Khadrawi, Tal al-Ward, Khirbet al-Shaer, Tal Harmal, Dada Abdel, and al-Safa.” The villages of “al-Basis and al-Nuwaihat” were also targeted with a medium machine gun, “Dushka.”
