​​​​​​​Mustafa: Our health centers are fully prepared during emergency

 In response to the emergency declared by the General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria on July 6, the Health Authority is working to secure all medical supplies and medicines, in addition to preparing hospitals, clinics and mobile points.

 And to talk about the health authority's preparations for an emergency situation;  Our agency met the co-chair of the Health Authority in North and East Syria, Dr. Joan Mustafa, who said, "HA is working within the state of emergency that was announced this month," explaining that "it has developed a complete and integrated plan, equipped all hospitals and clinics, and educates citizens in the event of any  attack by the Turkish occupier.

 Mustafa added, "All hospitals, clinics and medical points have been directed to receive citizens who need courses in first aid. In the event of any attack on our areas, each of us can help himself and those around him, and this course will be intensive, for two days, and all ages are acceptable in it."

 Last Monday, the Health Authority called on the citizens of northern and eastern Syria to follow an intensive course of first aid, and confirmed the readiness of all hospitals in northern and eastern Syria to receive the people who wish to do so.

 Regarding the readiness of the medical points and dispensaries, Mustafa confirmed that many mobile medical points have been prepared to receive the wounded and injured during this period.  He added, "One of our work, within the state of emergency, is to secure a sufficient amount of medicines for hospitals and medical points, stop all doctors and nurses' leave, and raise the readiness of all fixed and mobile medical points and centers in the event of any new emergency."

 Mustafa pointed out, "All points and clinics are fully prepared, especially in the areas expected to be attacked, and as for the number of these medical points and centers, they are kept secret, and the number is good."

 Regarding securing medicines in light of the siege on the region, Mustafa said: "The Health Authority has been working for some time to secure its needs for medicines, especially the areas that are likely to be exposed to a possible Turkish attack, and the necessary needs have been secured."

 At the conclusion of his speech, Joan Mustafa said, "Our areas are threatened by the Turkish occupier. In the event of any attack, there will be wounded and injured. Everyone must be ready, morally and medically, to provide treatment for themselves and any injured around them, and to help medical personnel in our areas."
