​​​​​​​PYD congratulates NE Syria's people on anniversary of the July 19 revolution

Today, the General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) issued a statement to the public opinion, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the July 19 Revolution, stating:

"At the outset, we congratulate the peoples of NE Syria, the Middle East and all humanity on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the July 19 Revolution. We also bow in honor and respect in front of our martyrs who gave their most precious to achieve a dignified life for us.

We salute the leader of the revolution, Abdullah Ocalan, heroes in the trenches, and those who resist the enemy on the fronts.

The statement continued, "The July 19 Revolution, which the Kurdish people started from Kobani, is the first torch that lit the path for the Kurdish people and the peoples of the Middle East towards self-confidence and adherence to freedom and democracy.

The statement added, "The democratic one of the fruits of the 19th revolution has become a model for the Syrian political solution in terms of achieving stability, peace, coexistence and brotherhood of peoples within a united Syria."

The statement affirmed, "Today, the Turkish occupying state is attacking this social revolution and wants to destroy the gains of our peoples. However, we affirm that, as peoples, no matter how victorious we are against the most powerful terrorism in the world, embodied by ISIS, with the unity we will protect our revolution against any attack.

" On this occasion, we call on the democratic and liberation forces in the world to stand with us towards Erdogan’s aggressive ambitions and to stand in solidarity with us for the consolidation and continuity of this revolution, which has become a hope for all of humanity.
