Manbij's military formations expand resistance to prevent any Turkish incursion - Updated

Military formations of Manbij are expanding the resistance to prevent any Turkish incursion calling on the people of NE Syria to stand by their fighters.

The General Command of the Manbij Military Council, the General Command of the Revolutionaries Army, the General Command of the Al-Bab Military Council, and the General Command of the Kurdish Front Forces, made a joint statement to public opinion, stressing that their forces would be a symbol of heroism and resistance if the people were subjected to any aggression.

The statement was read by the Commander-in-Chief of the Manbij Military Council, Muhammad Mustafa "Abu Adel", in the presence of the leaders of the Al-Bab Military Council, the Army of Revolutionaries and the Syrian Democratic Forces, in front of the Manbij Military Council headquarters in the city.

The statement said, "The Turkish threats against the cities of Manbij, Tal Rifaat and Kobani, which began on May 23 and are still continuing within Turkish plan aimed at completing the occupation and Turkification of Syrian cities and displacing their residents."

The statement stressed, "The Turkish pretexts are an explicit violation of the 2019 agreements, and threats the democratic experiment in North and East Syria, and block the path to a political solution of the Syrian crisis."

The statement added, " The villages along the front lines have been subjected to daily Turkish bombardment since the liberation of Manbij from the abomination of ISIS terrorism, in which dozens of civilians and soldiers have fallen victim, in addition to destruction of the infrastructure in general."

The statement also explained, "The Turkish threats directly affected the concentration of our forces and diverted them from the war against ISIS."

The statement clarified that, "The Syrian army has strengthened its forces on the borders and front lines with qualitative weapons along in coordination with the Russian side."

At the end the statement called on all political parties to remove political and ideological contradictions and assume their national responsibilities.
