SOHR reported that fierce clashes with heavy and medium machineguns erupted in the early hours of Friday between the “National Liberation Front” and Damascus forces following an attempt by Damascus forces to advance into positions on the frontline of Maarrat Al-Na’san town in north-eastern Idlib. The clashes coincided with exchange of mortar fire between the two sides, amid confirmed reports of the injury of several government soldiers.

Yesterday, SOHR reported that Damascus forces targeted, with artillery shells and heavy machineguns, civilian houses in Maarrat Al-Na’san town in Idlib countryside, near the administrative border with Aleppo province, and on the outskirts of Darat Izza city and other positions in the western countryside of Aleppo.

SORH added that Damascus forces and mercenaries escalated their military operations on frontlines of the western countryside of Aleppo, amid attempts by both sides to sneak and plant advanced landmines near on these frontlines.
