​​​​​​​DSA condemns Madrid Agreement and demands to remove PKK name from "terror list"

​​​​​​​Democratic Socialist Movement (DSA) in America condemned NATO agreement with Turkey on the accession of Sweden and Finland to the alliance, and also demanded that the name of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) be removed from "list of terrorist organizations".

Democratic Socialist Movement (DSA) in America, with the membership of US Senator Bernie Sanders, issued a written statement condemning NATO agreement with Turkey, and expressed its displeasure in exchange for selling weapons and increasing pressure on Kurdish activists, by starting the procedures for membership of Sweden and Finland in NATO, and also demanded the removal of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) name to be remove from the list of "terrorist organizations", according to the Euphrates News Agency.

The statement reads: "Turkey uses the force it obtains from its membership in NATO to launch its attacks on the Kurds, Yazidis, Armenians, Assyrians, Syriacs, Turkmen and Arabs in Syria and Iraq."

The statement added, "NATO expansion step has prompted Turkey to put pressure on the diaspora communities in Sweden and Finland, and this situation will add a new page to NATO's long history of supporting fascist policies."

Democratic Socialist Movement in America (DSA) has demanded a complete halt to arms sales to Turkey and stated that it supports Syria and Iraq's demand for foreign forces to leave the country.

The movement also called for the removal of the name of PKK from the list of "terrorist organizations."
