Zilan Ahmed: Turkish's use of chemicals violates Hague Declaration and Geneva Protocol

Zilan Muhammad Ahmed the human rights activist in Al-Hasakah city indicated that Turkey's use of internationally prohibited chemical weapons in legitimate defense areas breaches of the Hague Declaration and the Geneva Protocol.

Since the 17th of last April, the legitimate defense areas and the People's Defense Forces have been subjected to joint annihilation attacks by the Turkish occupation army and the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

During her speech, Zilan indicated that there are many statements from countries from all over the world that the use of chemical weapons is prohibited under customary international law, and countries have widely condemned a few confirmed cases."

"There is also national case law that the use of chemical weapons is prohibited under customary international law," she added.

Zilan Muhammad Ahmed, confirmed at the end of her speech that the Turkish occupation state is launching continuous attacks on the legitimate defense areas andthe People's Defense Forces, along with its use of all heavy weapons and advanced and internationally prohibited technologies on the regions of North and East Syria all that violates the international laws.
