Nihad Ahmed: Our people will sacrifice their lives to preserve their land

The deputy co-chair of the Executive Council in the Euphrates region Nihad Ahmed said that Turkey is well aware that people of the region today are armed with awareness, stressing that the people will do everything to defend their land.

The speech of Nihad Ahmed, came in the midst of Turkish threatening to occupy areas in North and East Syria, after their failure to empty the region of its people.

The Turkish occupation state focused on the areas of Tal Rifaat and Manbij, "which represent the key to entering the Autonomous Administration areas," according to Nihad Ahmed. Ahmed added: "The Turkish occupation state seeks to occupy NE Syria to thwart its democratic project that brought all components together under one roof.

Ahmed pointed out that the people of the region have right to liberate their land which was occupied by Turkey, under the sight of the international community, as well as the right of the Syrian Democratic Forces to defend themselves, stressing that defense is a sacred duty for everyone who rejects injustice and slavery.

He added: "This Turkish attack is not only on the areas of the Autonomous Administration, but is an occupation scheme for new parts of the Syrian lands, so Damascus government must defend them, as well as the guarantor countries.

Ahmed concluded his speech by saying: "Turkey wants to prolong the crisis in Syria to annex a new part of the Syrian lands to its own, it is time for the Syrians to think of a solution to their crisis, learn from the bloody experience they have been going through 11 years ago.

he stressed, “it is time to put an end to the external greed that lurks in us, so that every displaced person returns to his home and land.”
