The recent demonstration, which was organized by the tribes of Manbij on Tuesday (June 14th), showed the position of people of the region in rejecting the ongoing Turkish threats.

It was remarkable in Manbij that the Arab tribes in particular, moved immediately after the head of the Turkish occupation state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, revealed his intentions to expand his occupation of the Syrian lands, and he singled out the city of Manbij and Tal Rifaat by mentioning.

On June 6, dignitaries of clans met with leaders from the Syrian Democratic Council in the city of Manbij.

The tribes also held discussions with SDC that focused on the recent Turkish threats, identifying mechanisms and ways of confrontation and strengthening the solidarity between the components to face any external invasion.

The clans that attended the meeting were: Bani Said, Al-Damalkha, Al-Bo Sultan, Bani Asid, Al-Bubna, Bani Jamil, the Arab Al-Hosh clans, notables from the Turkmen and Kurdish clans, and representatives of the Circassian component.

On the sidelines of the meeting, a number of clan elders and dignitaries told ANHA that the Turkish state targets the region and the unity of its components, not just the Kurdish people.

They stressed that the tribesmen will stand united with the military forces, and won't allow the Turkish occupier to occupy Syrian lands.

On the 14th of this June, hundreds of tribesmen, led by dignitaries and tribal sheikhs, went out in a mass demonstration in the city of Manbij against Turkey's threats.

The tribes also called on the Syrians who were deceived by Turkey to return to Manbij and stop standing by the occupation in its war against the Syrians.
