AA in Euphrates Region: Turkish occupation attacks on Shengal are a continuation of ISIS attacks

​​​​​​​Autonomous Administration in Euphrates region condemned the attacks of Turkish occupation state on Shengal, and stressed that it was a continuation of the attacks of ISIS mercenaries against Shengal and a blow to the democratic project adopted by the peoples and components of the region.

The child Saleh Shivan Khder Nassau and his grandfather Khder Nassau were martyred in the two drone attacks on People's Assembly in Sinnuni district and its market in Shengal district, and 6 others, including a journalist, were injured.

In condemnation of it, Autonomous Administration in Euphrates region made a statement, in front of Executive Council building in Kobani; was read by co-chair of Legislative Council in Euphrates region, Muhammad Hamdan, that reads:

"Turkish occupation state continues its attempt to undermine the legitimate rights of Kurdish people and undermine its gains, and it has recently increased its attacks on Shengal and legitimate defense areas in North and East Syria, taking advantage of world's preoccupation with Russian-Ukrainian war.

Yesterday, Turkish drones, with the complicity of some local Kurdish forces, targeted People's Assembly in Sinnuni district, killing 2 civilians and wounding others, and these attacks are considered a continuation of ISIS's attacks on Shengal and the genocide against its people."

The statement added, "Turkish state goal is besieging the democratic project adopted by the peoples and components of north and east Syria and Shengal, and occupying more areas and to strike security, stability and peace among the peoples."

The statement stressed, "We, in Autonomous Administration in Euphrates region, condemn and denounce the attacks of Turkish state on our people in Shengal, and we call on international community to intervene and stop Turkish attacks and prevent massacres against its people."
