​​​​​​​Mustafa Amin: to defeat ISIS Turkey ought to be expelled from occupied areas

According to figures of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, there are almost 12, 000 detainees of ISIS mercenaries in jails un by SDF and some 60, 000 of their families held in the al-Hol Camp in eastern Hasaka city.

However, since ISIS was defeated geographically the file remains unsolved as time and again the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria call that issue be solved. Up to date no serious steps have been taken to solve the issue.

The ISIS issue is not only a territorial or a geographic one rather is an ideological one.   This adds to the burdens of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Mustafa Amin specialist in the Muslim jihadist groups affirms that ISIS issue is one of the most serious and dangerous ones. ''there had been dangerous developments in the last six months. The most notable one is the murder of Abu Ibrahim Quraishi that necessitated a new caliph be selected; Abu Hesen Hashimi that tried to develop new strategies for the organization and to revive the weakened vilayets and to commence wide scale operations whether in Syria or in Iraq or in areas in central and west Africa.    

Mustafa indicated to the role played by Turkey that opened it borders to thousands of ISIS mercenaries from all around the world to converge on Syria receiving logistical, intelligence and  financial support, '' Turkey is involved in supporting ISIS since its foundation, it held a bargain with the organization in the city of Mosul that stipulated releasing diplomats and it paved the way for fighters to cross into Syria and Iraq via its lands. This is no secret''.

Mustafa noted the support given by Turkey from passing money, oil, and antiques helped the organization to '' spread, extend and expand''.

Amin noted that the position of the international community in support given by the Turkish occupation state to the ISIS mercenaries is a pragmatic one. Turkey threatens the international community with the refugee issue '' the international community take no clear measures against Turkey regime and to prosecute those aider and abettors in crossing fighters into Syria and in its continued crimes in Syria in areas under its occupation that have become safe havens for ISIS mercenaries''.

Amin made it clear that there is a grave inaction by the international community '' the international community is not one entity, it has different parts, and each part  has special interests with Turkey eventually punishing Turkey is a difficult question. There had been attempts by U.S. in this regard but all failed to the ground''. 

Amin noted the Turkish regime exploits the crises and contradictions in the wolrd and in the region alike and holds bargains.  

Amin noted areas under Turkish occupation forces are safe havens for ISIS mercenaries and the murder of Abu Bakr Baghdadi and Abu Ibrahim Quraishi in Barisha and Atmeh are hard proves.

Regarding the role to be assumed by the international community Mustafa Amin said the international community ought to exit Turkey from areas it occupies in Syria either by military operations or based on laws '' the EU ought to stop all deals with the Turkish regime and to put pressure on it for this end''.

Mustafa noted the ISIS issue is a very difficult one as there are thousands of mercenaries held by Syrian Democratic Forces and thousands of their families in camps. Mustafa laid stress on the need by the international community to support the Syrian Democratic Forces by every possible means to avert any repletion of the scenario enacted at the Sina'a Prison in the city of Hasaka early in 2022.

Mustafa noted to the necessity of prosecuting by the United Nations of ISIS mercenaries held by the Syrian Democratic Forces and to regulate laws to repatriate ISIS families to their countries of origin.
