Secret agreement between KRG, Turkish government to incursion inside Iraqi territories

Representative of the State of Law coalition, Mohammad al-Sihoud, identified two main reasons for the futility of the decisions of the federal government and the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee to influence and stop the repeated attacks on Iraqi lands by the Turkish occupation and their expansion in great depths within our lands.

Al-Sihoud said in a press statement, reported by Roj news agency, that "the increasing security breaches of the Turkish forces inside Iraqi territory and the expansion of the Turkish army to great depths inside our lands until its forces reached Bashiqa in Nineveh Governorate, without real deterrence due to two main reasons."

He added, "The first reason is that the central government and the Security and Defense Committee do not have any influence on the region, by not being able to send Iraqi army forces to protect the Iraqi-Turkish border and hold it completely."

Al-Sihoud continued, "The second reason is that the relations of the regional government with Turkey are very close, and perhaps there is a secret agreement between the KRG and the Turkish government to allow the latter to expand inside Iraqi territory in return for goals in favor of the Kurdistan Democratic Party."

He explained, "KRG does not recognize any decision, whether it is from the government or parliament, unless it is in its interest, and the best evidence is that the region does not even recognize the decisions of the Federal Court. In and of itself, it is very dangerous."
