The Turkish occupation state prepares to create a safe zone in north eastern Syrian to carry on the demographic change already taking place in the region.

This follows statement made by the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to return more than a million Syrian refugees living in Turkey to be settled in occupied areas in the north.

To shed light on the issue, ANHA met Deputy Co-chair of Syria's Future Party in Manbij Mohamed Berghel said ''Turkish occupation state, since the establishment of the AANES,  calls on the international community for setting up a safe zone in North and East Syria. This area is the most secure spot in Syria. There had been no breaches by the Syrian Democratic Forces towards Turkey that seeks to destabilize the region.

Berghel wondered '' are areas under Turkish occupation from Jarablus to Idlib safe really? There is neither peace no security in such areas. On the contrary they are full of conflicts and disputes. It maintains that it secures its national security but in the actual reality it usurps such areas and annexes tem. This goes in contravention to the international norms and laws.

Berghel believes there are disputes within AKP, there are internal disputes, devaluation of currency, and it fears that it lose presidency in 2023. It seeks to export its problems outside the borders under the clock of preserving security to convince the Turkish people''.

On returning the Syrian refugees to occupied areas Berghel said ''Turkey seeks to get financial gains received from aids provided by countries to those refugees''.

Berghel refuted the Turkish claims '' if really the Turkish state wants to return refugees it ought to demand a peaceful solution, and to be a good will part. Everyone wants to return home but not to Jarablus or Tal Abyad or any other areas. This is not a return, rather a forcible exit and a compulsory one. Turkey wants to create demographic change''.

Mohamed Berghel called on ''the international community, the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS and the Russian Federation to abide by the signed international agreements and conventions to deter the Turkish occupation state to carry out any military operation that will destabilize the whole region. ''

Berghel concluded by saying we reject settlements being built on our lands that may signify lands being annexed we fear there is going to be a second Alexandretta the Syrian people ought to comprehend the aspirations of the Turkish occupation state in the Syrian territories''.
