​​​​​​​Muhammad Ahmad calls for the establishment of an anti-corruption body

After what was reported by many websites and newspapers, including American Prospect website, "The President of Southern Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, is one of the most important dictatorial political buyers in an American real estate company that hides the owners' names, money numbers and real estate prices."

The British Telegraph newspaper also reported that one of the oil companies known as "Car Group", run by Baz Karim in Başûr Kurdistan and close to Barzani family, granted an amount of 400,000 pounds to an adviser to a female member of parliament, Gary Kent, in 2015.

And American magazine Variety confirmed at the time that 2 of the influential Barzani family in Başûr Kurdistan were behind a bilateral deal to buy 2 castles in the famous Beverly Hills area in Los Angeles, California, USA. The value of the 2 castles is $47 million, paid in cash.

Recent media reports, at a time when Başûr Kurdistan is witnessing almost daily demonstrations due to the deteriorating economic conditions, the high cost of living, and the people standing in queues to take fuel, to clarify the vision of Kurds in Başûr Kurdistan regarding the destination of import exchanges.

And the head of Kurdistan Republican Party office in Hasaka, Muhammad Ahmad, believes that any leaders embezzling public funds is like two crimes that must be punished, first because is as a plunderer of people's money, and second because he is taking the status of a people's leadership, and exploiting his position.

Ahmed noted that at a time when most of Kurds in Başûr Kurdistan live in difficult economic conditions, "Barzani family resorts to embezzling people's money, and harnessing them for their personal interests, and living a life of opulence and wealth," He continued, "They consider themselves leaders and heads of Kurdistan community, while they loot people's money."

The American Prospect writers Zack Coplin and Basma Hammadi stated that Nechirvan Barzani manages his money and property in the company under the name of his wife, brothers and relatives. And the number of these homes and properties reached 300 properties in the name of Barzani's wife, brothers and relatives.

The head of Kurdistan Republican Party office in Hasaka, Muhammad Ahmed, called on Kurdish community to establish an anti-corruption body and to carefully examine the accounts of officials in Başûr Kurdistan.

He stressed that Kurdish society's disregard for the issue of "Barzani family's embezzlement of people's money in Başûr Kurdistan, and their betrayal of the people, will lead to persistence, and gradually increasing poverty in southern Kurdistan."
