Habun: Turkey aims to empty the region from its people

Zarghan district of Hasaka Canton witnesses continuous attacks on a daily way by Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries who call "Syrian National Army", during which they target populated villages with artillery and drones, the latest of which was Monday's attack.

On Monday evening, Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries targeted the headquarters of Internal Security Forces in Zarghan district, in addition to the district center and its northern and western villages, injuring 3 members of security forces, and causing serious damage to citizens' properties, according to nternal Security Forces.

Media Center of Internal Security Forces of NE Syria said in a statement: "Turkish occupation continues to launch rocket-propelled grenades on Zarghan and its countryside, many civilians were wounded and also 3 members of our forces, and great material damage was caused to the property of the citizens, as the injured were taken to nearby hospitals to receive the necessary treatment."

Co-chair of the Zarghan District Council, Habun Khaled, confirmed to ANHA agency that Turkish occupation army continued to bombard Zarghan district and its villages, saying: "There is barbaric bombardment that has become almost daily. Last night, the bombing targeted the village of Al-Asadiya and western villages of the district."

Habun Khaled explained that the goal of Turkish occupation state in its continuous bombing is to spread terror and fear among the components of the region, and push the people leave their land, stressing that the people of the district are clinging to their land.

Zarghan district, along with Tel Tamer district of Hasaka Canton, has been subjected since March 19, 2019, to artillery and missile shelling by Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

The bombing continues despite the cease-fire agreements concluded between "Turkey and Russia" on one hand, and "Turkey and America" on the other hand, the presence of guarantors of the agreements in the region, and the spread of Damascus government's border guards in areas of frontlines with Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.
