​​​​​​​YPJ celebrates the 9th anniversary of its founding

The Women's Protection Units organized a ceremony on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of its founding, in Al-Shaddadi district, in which dozens of fighters and leaders of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) participated.

The member of the General Command of the Women's Protection Units, Suzdar Dêrik, during the ceremony congratulates the leader Ocalan, the martyrs of the revolution, the families of the martyrs and all the women fighters who struggle to protect this land in the plains, cities and mountains of Kurdistan, on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the establishment of the Protection Units woman.

She added: “The events taking place in Rojava and all over the world have created many reasons for us as women to struggle, we started this struggle because of the brutal attacks on our lands, as women we have many reasons to defend ourselves and freedom."

She said that the Women's Protection Units fight for the sake of society in general, not just for women. She emphasized their commitment to the philosophy of free life and the democratic nation.

Suzdar Dêrik added, "We have been inspired by the female fighters in the ranks of the guerrillas in the mountains of Kurdistan.

We will escalate the struggle without stopping, because women still need to live free, We are proud that today we are fighting together against the enemies of humanity."

The ceremony ended with slogans calling for freedom of the leader and women.
