​​​​​​​Karamus: decision regarding PKK is a political one

On the issue of keeping Kurdistan Workers' Party in the list ANHA carried out an interview with Ahmed Karamus, Co-chair of the Kurdistan Nationalist Congress the KNK, who said the decision to delist Kurdistan Workers' Party from the black list is going to be announced in the future adding there no longer exists any excuses to keep PKK in the list.  

Karamus said the decision was a politically one motivated and it has nothing to do with law, ''the proceedings of the case are clear council of the European Council wants that party remain in the list, this is a politically motivated decision. It goes in line with the interests of the countries allied with Turkey. this is noted by the court however. The decision will be announced soon.

Karamus said the accusations made against the party are not founded on any legal bases, PKK is the aim of the Kurdish freedom movement that seeks to solve the Kurdish cause according to political and legal bases.

Karamus said the body that represents the Kurdistan Workers' Party in the court provided enough proofs and evidence but ''it is the Turkish state that rejects and turns upside down the facts, showing as it is fights a terrorist organization. Undauntedly this is the position of the Turkish state.

From another point of view, countries that have interests with the Turkish state support this position undertaken by the Turkish state. They seek to turn upside down the work of the Kurdish people and its self-determination and its aspirations. They want to show the Kurdish people as a terrorist organization. The court has reached a result that the accusations made by the Turkish state are insufficient''.

''The Belgian court ruled that Kurdistan Workers' Party has nothing to do with terror. There are even some accusations that the United Nations reject.  Even though the party still remains in the black list. This is an offense against the Kurdish people. Previously, even the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Kurdistan Democratic Party were enlisted in black lists. We will stand up to his case'', he said.

Karamus said the party was enlisted in the terrorist list after the murder of Prime Minister of Sweden Olaf Palme '' of course, even Sweden ruled that Kurdistan Workers' Party has nothing to do with the case. The killer was revealed. The party has never done anything that damages the interest of the European countries or posing any threats to any European community. It is a movement that struggles for freedom. All accusations made against it have fallen to the ground. 

Karamus went on to say the European Union adopts the double standard policy, interests of the Turkish state with the European Union, and the political, diplomatic and economic relations of the Turkish state with the European countries make all these countries to support Turkey. Germany, England, France Holland provide prohibited weapons to the Turkish state. The EU supports Turkey when it has interest with it. The Turkish state by no means wants to remove Kurdistan Workers' Party from the black list''.
