Manbij Democratic Administration anniversary held

Under ' With Our Will We established Our Administration'  an activity was held in the Hall of Culture and Art in the city of Manbij marking the fifth annual anniversary of the establishment of the Democratic Administration in Manbij and its countryside. 

Attendees included tens of members of the associations affiliated to the Democratic Administration in Manbij and it countryside, representatives of the SDF, Manbij Military Council, Civil Society Associations, Women associations, War Wounded and representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

After a minute of silence was observed, among others, Deputy Co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Hamdan Ebid said: we offer our congratulation on this blissful day, by Manbij we mean the city of history, civilization, culture and literature, that houses all components''.

After that Shervan Derwish, spokesperson for Manbij Military Council made a speech in which he said: ' we are very happy to be with you on this great day, it was a pledge to make Manbij a model city for the whole of Syria. Today we see many gains made and progress too''.

On 15 August 2016 Manbij was liberated from ISIS by the Manbij Military Council and the Syrian Democratic Forces after two months battles with the terrorist group.
