Nada Alliance confirms the need to unify women's efforts in the Mid- east

The Regional Democratic Women’s Alliance in the Middle East and North Africa blessed the International Women’s Day for all women of the world, and stressed the need to unify women’s efforts in a comprehensive and integrated manner that crosses all artificial borders in the face of the catastrophic repercussions and negative phenomena of the patriarchal system.

Nada Alliance (the Regional Democratic Women's Alliance in the Middle East and North Africa) issued a statement on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day, and we have received a copy of it.

The Nada Alliance recalled all the women who lost their lives for the sake of women’s freedom and a decent life, and said: “We are imbued with hope, ambition, and determination to crown all the women’s and feminist struggles that the Middle East and North Africa region in particular, and in all parts of the world in general, witnessed and are still witnessing.” New women are destroying the pillars of the patriarchal system.

The Alliance affirmed its commitment to the struggle with unswerving determination, despite a marked increase in gross violations against women in various countries, particularly in countries affected by occupation and the insane wars that have taken place in many countries, as well as the consequences of the blind chaos that the global capitalist system seeks to spread, with a view to overcoming the structural crisis it is experiencing on the one hand, and to confusing and rearranging papers according to its interests.

The statement drew attention to the phenomena in the Middle East: "Despite the widespread phenomenon of domestic violence and the suspension of the right of a mother to grant her nationality to her children in Lebanon, the work of women's organizations has not ceased. Despite widespread cases of trafficking in women and honour crimes in Iraq, women's advocacy efforts remained on the agenda, and despite the repercussions of the Zionist occupation of the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and Sheikh Jarrah, Palestinian women remained present and present in the political and social landscape. "

It continued: "Despite the escalation of the fascist and authoritarian wave in Turkey, the consequences of the Turkish occupation of many cities and regions in Syria of displacement and demographic change, as well as the various types of war, artillery and aerial bombardment and the targeting of female leaders in north-eastern Syria in particular, the women there are still very active in recognizing their lives in all their all details, and despite widespread mass internal displacement, hunger and extreme poverty in Yemen, but the efforts are still active tirelessly in order to enhance the women role in radical peace and reconstruction progress, and despite the deadly siege on the fighter Sultana Khaya and her family, by the Moroccan occupation, include violence, torture and abuse of women in Western Sahara, but their resistance continues without interruption.

The Nada Alliance statement added, "Despite the wars affecting women, especially activists in Libya, their voice is still resounding, and despite the implicit legalization of the Taliban movement and its heinous acts in Afghanistan, the resistance of Afghan women has escalated more than ever. Before, and despite the campaigns of arrests and even executions against women political and human rights activists in Iran, the resonance of the political detainee Zainab Jalalian is louder than the voice of tyranny there... and the list goes on."
