Mothers of martyrs in Kobani: We to continue to demand bodies of martyrs

Under the slogan "In the spirit of the Kobani resistance, we will defeat the occupation and treachery" and within the framework of the activities calling for handing over the bodies of the Guerilla martyrs, detained by the KDP authorities in Başûr (South Kurdistan) since last August, the Martyrs' Families Council set up a sit-in tent in the Euphrates region to demand the bodies of the Guerilla martyrs on Sunday in the city of Kobani, in the presence of members of institutions, centers, bodies and political parties in the Euphrates region from ten in the morning until three in the afternoon.

The co-chair of the Martyrs' Families Council in the Euphrates region, Aisha Effendi, told our agency that "the erection of this sit-in tent is a continuation of the activities carried out by the Mothers of Peace at the Semalka crossing to demand the bodies of the Guerilla martyrs, held by the Kurdistan Democratic authorities."

 Aisha Effendi denounced the KDP's moves and said, "The Barzani family has followed the path of treason throughout history and that the KDP takes its orders from the Turkish occupation state. This is clear during the recent visit of Nechirvan Barzani to Turkey," stressing that "the people of the region have become aware of this."  Those around him became aware of the value of martyrs and who knew who betrayed his homeland and why?”

 Aisha noted that the people of the region always seek to establish peace and security, saying, "When the Kurdistan Democratic Party abandons the approach of treason, peace and brotherhood will be achieved."

 For her part, spokeswoman for the Sara Organization for Combating Violence against Women, Halima Osman, said: "The people of the region support the guerrillas and the approach of the martyrs."

 Halima Osman denounced the KDP's treachery approach and holding the bodies of the martyrs of Guerilla, and said: "The KDP must abandon the treasonous approach and support for Erdogan."

 Halima pledged to follow the footsteps of the martyrs until they receive the bodies of their martyred sons.

 On August 28-29, militants of the Kurdistan Democratic Party set up a treacherous ambush for 7 fighters from Guerilla in Khalifan district, killing 5 of them and capturing one wounded, while the seventh returned to his point, according to a statement by the media center of the KDP.
