Education Body of North and East Syria congratulates in International Mother Tongue Day

Education Body of North and East Syria congratulated the peoples of the world and the components of North and East Syria on the International Mother Tongue Day, and called on United Nations organizations to support them in implementing the first experiment of multilingual education system in the Middle East.

The Body said in a statement issued today: "Education Body of North and East Syria congratulates the peoples of the world in general, and other components of North and East Syria in particular, and the keenness of Education Body to protect and promote linguistic and cultural diversity in North and East Syria, given that language is the basis for the existence of societies, and its great importance in the advancement of educational attainment and development of child's personal, social and cultural identity, Education Body continues to implement a multilingual system.

At the same time, the Body called on United Nations organizations to assume their responsibilities towards the principles they adopted and to support the first experiment of multilingual education system in Middle East.
