SDF: ISIS mercenaries are using children "cubs of caliphate" as human shields to impede our progress

Syria Democratic Forces confirmed that the great obstacle to the forces' progress is the use of ISIS mercenaries the children from "cubs of the caliphate" associated with it, that are 700 minors as human shields.

Media Center of Syria Democratic Forces issued a statement to the media and public opinion about the resort of ISIS mercenaries to criminal methods to pressure the forces, which reads:

"During the past 3 days of organized attack by ISIS the terrorist organization on Ghweran Prison / Al-Sina'a with the aim of controlling it and removing the terrorist prisoners in it, the great obstacle to SDF' progress was the terrorists' use of 700 "cubs of caliphate" associated with ISIS as human shields, who were in separate private dormitories inside the prison with the aim of rehabilitating them from extremist ideology.

Syria Democratic Forces hold ISIS terrorists responsible for causing any harm to these children in prison.

Syria Democratic Forces appeal to United Nations and International Committee of Red Cross to intervene to keep the children away, and not to use them in military operations by ISIS, and hand them over to security forces for their safety.
