Three female fighters recalled in Syrian capital, Damascus

Kongra Star organized today in the Syrian capital, Damascus, a lecture entitled “When the heart and mind are united, it is impossible for a person to surrender,” coinciding with the ninth anniversary of the martyrdom of the three Kurdish activists, Sakine Cansz, Leyla şeylemz, and Fidan Dogan. It was attended by dozens of people.

After standing for a minute of silence, Kongra Star member Mizgin Yousef read an article about the life of the three female fighters.

Then the administrator spoke at Kongra Star Yousef about this tragic memory and the hand of treachery that affected one of the most powerful institutions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, Sakine Cansiz and her two comrades, Leyla Shailemz and Fidan Dogan, and about the extent of the Turkish fascist authorities’ hatred of the free woman and its attempt to undermine her freedom, dignity and strength.

Berjam Yousef indicated that targeting the three women fighters is considered as targeting all women who are searching for truth and freedom.

She also pledged, at the conclusion of her speech, to continue the struggle of the three women fighters and to follow their path until their hopes are fulfilled.
