Yesterday, the occupied Girê Spî canton and its countryside witnessed a massive demonstration against the deteriorating living conditions and high prices of electricity, bread and heating materials, where it denounced corruption of so-called "Tal Abyad Local Council".
According to a local source, Turkish affiliated gangs prevented the demonstrators from reaching headquarters of the so-called "Tal Abyad Local Council".
The source added that, after the demonstration, the mercenaries launched campaigns of kidnapping, targeting 6 citizens, under pretext of inciting demonstrations against the local council and the governor of Urfa.
Worth mentioning that several occupied cities of Syria, such as al-Bab, Serêkaniyê, and Girê Spî, are witnessing demonstrations condemning the service reality and high prices, and calling for dissolution of the corrupt councils.
