New Year's celebrations cancelled in Kobane

The Brotherhood Church in the city of Kobane announced the New Year's Celebrations were cancelled in the city in observance of martyrs of the Turkish drone strike some days ago.

Today a declaration was made by the Brotherhood Church in the city of Kobane in which it cancelled all celebrations and festivities marking the New Year 2022 in observance of the 5 martyrs passed away in the drone strike carried out on a house by the Turkish occupation army some days ago.

The declaration ''denounced as well attacks by Turkey to strike at the stability and security prevailing the region, adding the attack targeted the peace and security of the people of the region at large. We declare mourning in observance of martyrs and in respect to their families''.

On 25 December the current, a Turkish drone struck a house in eastern Kobane city in which five members of the Syrian Revolutionary Youths Movement were martyred and four others were injured causing wide popular rage and agitation and receiving condemnation and denunciation as well.
