The Mothers of Peace went to the Semalka Crossing to deliver a message to the authorities of the Southern Kurdistan region, demanding the delivery of the bodies of the two martyrs, Tolhildan Raman and Sardam Judi, who were martyred in an ambush by the Kurdistan Democratic Forces in Khalifan.

After the KDP refused to let the Mothers of Peace enter to the other side of the crossing, the mothers decided to sit under the sit-in tent that had been erected since October 5, at the invitation of the Martyrs' Families Council in Al-Jazira region.

The Mothers of Peace confirmed that they would continue their sit-in at the Semalka crossing until their demands were fulfilled to hand over the bodies of the martyrs to their families.
