Shahrazad Al-Jassem: We will end isolation imposed on leader

In an interview with ANHA, Shahrazad Al-Jassem, condemned the new arbitrary measures that prevent leader Abdullah Ocalan from walking inside his prison where The Turkish Authorities banned him from meeting his lawyers for a period of 6 months, from last October 12, and preventing him from meeting his family for 3 months starting from last August 18.

While it was reported in last October that Imrali prison administration imposed arbitrary measures on the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, in 2018, under the pretext of “walking sport.”

Al-Jassem explained that Turkey's aim of isolation is "to quell the thought of the leader and put pressure on us and the Democratic Nation Project, but this conspiracy will be defeated alongside its plans against the leader's ideas of and project of Autonomous Administration ."

She added, "We, stand against the Turkish aggression, and we will face this isolation with determination, for what the leader presented to women's freedom,"

On behalf of the women of Deir ez-Zor and the Zenobia Women's Gathering in particular ,Al-Jassem called on the international community and human rights organizations to stop Turkey and end the isolation imposed of the leader.

Al-Jassem concluded her speech by saying: "The time for freedom and a new dawn has come, from the heart of Deir ez-Zor the sun of freedom will rise, and we will break the isolation imposed on the leader, whether Turkey wants or not, and we will be a women's movement that proves the importance of the freedom that women have gained, and we say to Turkey that it will not be able to block the sun of freedom."

The Turkish occupation state has imposed strict isolation on the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, since August 2019, preventing him from meeting with his family and lawyers.

The last meeting leader met his lawyers, Rizan Sariga and Nowruz Uysal, was on the 7th of August 2019, while his last contact with the outside world was on the 25th of last March, via a telephone call with his brother, Mehmet Ocalan.

This contact came as a result of public pressure to check the leader's health, after the Turkish allegations about the leader’s health, which provoked popular reactions from around the world, forced the Turkish Authorities to allow contact with his brother but it lasted 5 minutes and then was cut off. Without knowing enough information about his health.
