Semalka: We will continue the sit-in even if it continues for years

For the 58 day, the sit-in tent activity continues in Semalka crossing. Where the Council of Martyrs' Families in Al-Jazeera region called for a sit-in, demanding hand over the bodies of the martyrs of the Guerrilla fighters in Khalifan that martyred at the hands of Kurdistan Democratic Party.

Today, Democratic Union Party from the western neighborhood of Qamishlo take turns in Semalka crossing under the sit-in tent.

Kameran Lwand, PYD member gave a speech at the sit-in tent, in which he said: "We will continue the sit-in activity until we receive the bodies of our martyrs, even if it continues for years".

Lwand also called on the Kurdish people to escalate the struggle against the betrayal of Kurdistan Democratic Party, and said: "How long will KDP continue the approach of betrayal against the Kurdish people's freedom movement? Enough of betrayal".

On October 5, the sit-in tent activity began to demand the bodies of Guerrilla fighters who were martyred in an ambush by KDP forces, but Kurdistan Democratic Party has not responded to the protesters' demands yet.
