Trio SDC-SDF-AANES meeting discussrd challenges on region

The meeting, which was chaired by co-chair of Syria's Democratic Council, Amina Omar, the commander in-chief of Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, and co-chair of Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Abid Hamid al-Mahbash, discussed the most important strategic issues in the region, and the challenges facing north and east Syria at all levels, and they presented solutions to enhance the role of institutions.

Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of SDF, focused on security and military challenges facing the regions of north and east Syria, especially the recent Turkish threats and continuous provocations on the border strip and de-escalation line, as well as the air and ground targeting of civilians, which opens the way for ISIS cells to escalate their activity.

Mazloum Abdi stressed the importance of adhering to international and regional agreements concluded with different parties, the most important one is de-escalation agreement, with the continuation of combating "ISIS" and its active cells, along with continuing to fight extremist ideas. And joint work with international parts, the international coalition, and Russia, to reach a comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis, in accordance with the requirements of political and social spectrum of Syrian people.

Abdul Hamid al-Mahbash, indicated in his briefing to the interest that the Administration witnessed by the active parties in the Syrian file, and the necessity of advancing the Autonomous Administration to develop its administrative and legal structure, and to secure the necessary competencies, and work on development and economic projects to enable it to play its role in the next stage.

He touched on the negative role played by the authority in Damascus, that it insists on solving the Syrian crisis according to tis mentality and behavior that exploits the deteriorating situation of Syrian people, in order to expand its influence and follow reconciliation procedures devoid of national standards.

At the meeting, discussions took place between the parties a about the need for the institutions to play their role in strengthening the Syrian identity, and to work through coordination meetings to overcome obstacles facing the development process, stabilize security in north and east Syria regions, and intensify the work of committees and Bodies in terms of Follow up on the issues raised, and continue the administrative, political and military activity to establish security and stability in the region of north and east Syria, and resolve the Syrian crisis in a way that meets the aspirations and requirements of Syrian people.
