An explosion targets Nassib border crossing with Jordan

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that an explosion happened at "Jaber- Nassib" border crossing with Jordan in the countryside of Dara'a caused by an IED planted by unknown persons, as injuries reported.

The explosion happened at the headquarters of the "Political Security" branch inside the border crossing, with information that elements of the branch were wounded.

According to statistics by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights the SOHR, , the number of attacks and assassination attempts in Daraa and southern Syria carried out by armed groups during the period from June 2019 until now stands at 1240 attacks and assassinations. The number of those killed in those attempts during the same period were 896 persons, and they are: 276, of whom 14 women and 26 children, and 403 elements of the Damascus government forces and their affiliated groups, 155 people of armed groups of the so-called "settlements and reconciliations" and 27 of Syrian groups affiliated with "Hezballah" and Iranian forces, in addition to 35 of the so-called "Fifth Corps".
