Falak Naz: We wonders in Turkish parliament about fate of kidnapped women of Afrin

 The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue to commit various crimes that amount to war crimes against peoples and women in the occupied canton of Afrin.

 The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) parliamentarian Falak Naz Oca submitted to the Turkish Parliament a proposal to discuss the war crimes mentioned in the reports of the Human Rights Organization in Afrin.

 The proposal stated: "After the start of the attacks of the Turkish army and the armed groups it supports on Afrin on January 20, 2018, humanitarian tragedies escalate in the Afrin canton of northern and eastern Syria, which fell under the control of armed groups on March 18 of the same year. According to reports.  The United Nations, more than a thousand women have been kidnapped in the city, which has turned into a center for looting, coercion, rape and ethnic cleansing so far.The fate of the majority of the abducted women is unknown.According to the civil institutions in Afrin, 84 women have been killed since the occupation of Afrin on March 18, 2018, until October 25  The first was in 2021, including six women who committed suicide. 71 women were sexually abusedd. The Human Rights Organization in Afrin announced the continuation of the crimes of the Turkish army and the groups it supports against women in Afrin, and that war crimes have continued in Afrin without interruption since the first day of its occupation.

 In this context, the parliamentarian posed the following questions to Parliament:

 1- Women in Afrin have been kidnapped and disappeared since 2018?  What is the fate of the women detained by the groups supported by Turkey?

 2- Do you have a plan to block the way to the killing of women and inhumane crimes in Afrin?

 3- Are you taking any action to take back the women and girls who have been kidnapped by armed groups?

 4- Is there an effective investigation into the crimes committed against women and the war crimes that have been going on for three years and mentioned in international reports?  Have you taken any legal steps against those responsible?  If you do not take any step, what is the reason for that?  Will any actions be taken?

 5- Do you have any activity related to the prosecution of the perpetrators of crimes such as looting, kidnapping and torture in Afrin?
